Continuously development characterizes the anniversary version of Foodexpo, which will take place in MCH Messecenter Herning for the 10th time in 20 years. The largest food fair in the Nordics stays fresh and up-to-date - partly thanks to a close collaboration with 13 leading industry associations, who find the fair's existence absolutely essential.
More than 450 exhibitors, who together represent the entire food industry, a multitude of events on, for example, sustainability and prestigious professional competitions, halls dedicated to ecology and retail, and even a fashion show with a focus on workwear are among the many elements that make up this year's edition of Foodexpo. The 10th of its kind in 20 years - an anniversary that has caused CEO of the trade association MLDK, Niels Jensen, to reflect on the fair's history:
- One of the first tasks I had as the new director of the association was to join the fair committee for Foodexpo, because it had been decided that the national fairs needed to be strengthened and renewed. And I clearly remember the launch - we were proud because we were satisfied with what we had achieved and because our members gave us their full support. Of course, we were also hugely excited about whether we could live up to the exhibitors' and visitors' expectations, but fortunately we were able to do so, observes Niels Jensen:
- Most importantly, the new concept, industry cooperation and support formed the foundation for the continued development of Foodexpo. And that foundation combined with another driving force, namely dedication, has meant that together we have continuously managed to change and develop the fair, so that it has always met the wishes and needs of the market.
