With the ambition of creating a renewed professional trade fair experience for both exhibitors and visitors, Foodexpo introduced a new exhibition concept this year. The concept brought the industry together in professional communities across 15 zones packed with exhibitors, activities, and experiences. In the wake of the fair, there has been widespread enthusiasm for the concept. For example, at Arla Pro, which exhibited in the zone named “The Milky Way.”
It has been an amazing fair with lots of energy, great professional dialogue, and engaged visitors. The new zone-based concept works really well and creates strong synergy, making it easy to compare products and gain an overview. The atmosphere has been very positive, and the fair has offered many happy customers and new inspiration, while we have also established a wealth of new and valuable relationships. The fair has therefore once again underlined its strong relevance, says Martin Rosbech, Key Account Manager, Arla Pro.
Valuable Insight into Customer Needs
At Danish Crown, which exhibited in the “Meat Way” zone, enthusiasm for the new concept is also evident.
These have been very rewarding days with high activity and many great customer dialogues. We have experienced a high level of curiosity, and visitors have been very focused in their approach. The division into zones makes a lot of sense and creates better conditions for professional dialogue. We are also very pleased to note that we have gained a number of strong leads and valuable insight into customer needs, which we can work with after the fair, says Kenneth Sig Søndergaard, Senior Manager (Sales Development & Execution), Danish Crown.
New Exhibitor Will Definitely Return
While Arla Pro and Danish Crown both have a long history at Foodexpo, there were also new exhibitors this year – for example GreenCoffee Roastery, which exhibited at Barista Boulevard.
It has truly been a great fair, and we are very satisfied. As a first-time exhibitor, we didn’t quite know what to expect, but we have both sold machines and entered into exciting agreements. The division into zones works very well and makes it easy for visitors to find what they are looking for. We have met a great deal of curiosity and many engaged guests, and at the same time we have created a number of new, relevant contacts – so we will definitely be back next time, says Klaus Løvgreen Jensen, CEO, GreenCoffee Roastery.
Curiosity, Passion, and Willingness
The many positive responses (see also visitor feedback further below) naturally please Georg Sørensen, CEO of MCH A/S.
Foodexpo 2026 has once again shown what happens when the entire food industry comes together around both professional and personal interaction. The new concept with 15 professional areas has been very well received – by both exhibitors and visitors – and the renewal has created the right conditions for business and professional community. The results can be measured in leads and agreements – and in addition, there is everything you can feel: the great atmosphere, the professional curiosity and passion, and the willingness to develop the industry together, says Georg Sørensen, adding:
In a time characterized by change, it is precisely the meeting between people combined with inspiration and solutions that makes the difference – and that is exactly what Foodexpo delivers. Thank you to exhibitors, partners, and the many professional visitors for once again creating the well-known and very special Foodexpo atmosphere.
Denmark’s Best Rum Ball
Prestigious competitions were, as always, a central part of Foodexpo, and on the final day of the fair, competitors once again battled for gold. Among them was one of the fair’s most famous competitions, Denmark’s Best Rum Ball, which was won by KonditorBager Bjerringbro.
Nordic Chef & Waiter also took place, where Andreas Enger Fjellheim from Norway and Marc Theil Hansen from Denmark won the Chef and Waiter titles respectively. Finally, Ready Steady Cook was won by Restaurant Noli. See the full list of winners below.
Foodexpo took place at MCH Messecenter Herning from 22–24 March 2026 and attracted 20,547 visitors. The next edition of the fair will be held from 26–28 March 2028. Read more at foodexpo.dk.
