27 - 29 March 2022
In March 2021, the largest food fair in the Nordic region, Foodexpo, was supposed to take place at MCH Messecenter Herning, but the fair is now postponed until 2022. The decision to postpone the fair again is made in respect of the corona situation in Denmark and with full support from the 13 industry associations and organizations behind Foodexpo.
The background for the postponement is the serious market situation as well as the uncertainty about the extent of the restrictions in March, which can possibly limit the fair's normally high visitor numbers.
Foodexpo is arranged in collaboration with 13 industry associations and organizations. With almost 600 exhibitors and 26,000 visitors, Foodexpo is the largest food trade fair in the Nordic region. We look forward to presenting the many exciting activities and areas at Foodexpo 2022.

"Our industry is still deeply affected by the corona situation and the many uncertain restrictions, and if we look at the overall purchasing power and optimism, there is no doubt that the only right thing to do is to postpone the fair until next year. At MLDK, we therefore fully support the decision and our members look forward to meeting with their customers at Foodexpo again in 2022"
Niels Jensen, Chairman, MLDK - Branded Goods Association
"In BFS and BKC, we support the decision to postpone Foodexpo until 2022. It is the right time to make the decision, also for the sake of the overall trade fair experience for both our members and visitors. Our members still need more time to get over the corona crisis and get their business going again, so we believe the decision is for the benefit of all"
Steffen Hansen, Head of Secretariat, BFS - The Industry Association for Commercial Kitchen Equipment
"There is no doubt that it is the right decision to cancel Foodexpo next year. Even if the vaccines are implemented in January 2021, we are still looking into a year, where uncertainty will still dominate, and planning a fair of this size takes a long time. As an industry, we have a strong urge to network and meet with each other - more than ever before. But we will wait with patience untill 2022"
