Strong professional experiences and unique networking opportunities await visitors at this year’s edition of Foodexpo, which also introduces a new exhibition concept. The central meeting place for the food industry brings the sector together at MCH Messecenter Herning from March 22–24, 2026.

Visitors to Foodexpo 2026 can look forward to exploring a reimagined trade fair, where the food industry is brought together in professional communities spread across a total of 15 vibrant, thematically designed zones filled with exhibitors, activities, and experiences. The new structure has been created to ensure both exhibitors and visitors an even better and more rewarding trade fair experience.

“The new concept makes it easier for visitors to navigate the fair and find relevant exhibitors, while also giving them even better opportunities to dive deeply into their respective professional fields, meet like-minded people, and gain inspiration,” explains Foodexpo project manager Pia Agerbo Bjerg from MCH A/S, continuing:

“We have put great effort into developing the new exhibition concept and the dedicated areas, so we are very excited to see it come to life. We naturally hope it will be well received and that everyone feels they take something valuable away from the fair. We have high expectations for the new zones and the exciting content each of them offers, and we look very much forward to welcoming exhibitors, partners, and other visitors.”

Presentations, conversations and panel discussions
Across Foodexpo, visitors are offered a wide range of opportunities to develop their professional skills and gain new inspiration for everyday life in professional kitchens.

For example, presentations, talks, and panel discussions will take place on both The Green Stage and The Meat and Coast Stage, sensory experiences in the Sensory Bar, and tasting sessions in The Cheese Dairy. In addition, workshops in The Coffee Roastery and The Green Workshop are among many other activities.

Prestigious professional competitions
At the same time, Foodexpo hosts a wide range of the food industry’s most prestigious professional competitions, some of which already take place on the opening day. These include Chef of the Year and Waiter of the Year, as well as Denmark’s Best Mocktail and Denmark’s Best Pastry Chef. The same applies to Denmark’s Best Butcher Delicacies, which are awarded across seven different categories.

Further competitions follow in the days after, where both established professionals and future talents compete for honours, titles, and industry recognition. For example, Tuesday features Denmark’s Best Rum Ball, meaning that the general election is not the only important vote on March 24.

The future of the food industry
Foodexpo 2026 features more than 450 exhibitors, including a number of new companies naturally placed on the Start-up Trail. Here, emerging brands have the opportunity to present their products and ideas to the industry.

This zone gives visitors an exclusive chance to meet a range of new companies and gain insight into solutions and concepts that could help shape the future of the food industry.

Overall, Foodexpo is a dynamic meeting point where everyone from head chefs, catering companies, and canteen staff to wholesalers, suppliers, and industry organizations come together. In this way, the fair forms a foundation where stakeholders across the industry network, exchange ideas, and share knowledge and experience.
