FÜLEKY TOKAJI KABAR VINNAI

Wine & Spirit Store

Kabar is the youngest of the six permitted grape varieties in the Tokaj wine region. It is an early-ripening variety, born from the cross between the Hárslevelű and Bouvier varieties. We harvest beautiful aszú grapes from Kabar almost every year. It is an excellent sweet and dry wine raw material. The ideal choice of the harvest time is extremely important when making dry wines. The 2019 Kabar is the fruit of a warm vintage, a semi-dry wine.

The aroma is of fresh ripe grapes, delicate spiciness, gummy sugar, ripe exotic fruits. The taste is intense, we taste the harmony of fruitiness and spiciness. A scant ten grams of natural residual sugar makes the wine vital and intense. The finish is very clean, with overripe citrus and a lot of juicy fruitiness remaining in the mouth. A thick, full-bodied wine made from perfectly ripe Kabar grapes.

Wine-food pairing (recommended chilled to 8-10 °C):

mushroom dishes, grilled vegetables
strongly spiced, grilled white meats
rabbit ragout with mustard, or even a pork tenderloin
an excellent complement to spicy dishes.
909 bottles were produced.
