Quebracho wood charcoal has its origin in subtropical areas. The main characteristic is that its wood is very hard, consistent and heavy (fine-grained wood). Due to these characteristics it can last much longer burning, so the yield versus softwood coals is twice as high. It produces very little spark. Another important feature is its characteristic and pleasant aroma, which makes it optimal for cooking all types of meat and red meat fish.
