It is produced from hand-picked Koroneiki olives. The protected Messara growing region is located in central Crete, at an altitude of approximately 400 meters. The region's ideal climate and nutrient-rich soil give rise to uniquely fruity and high-quality olive oils.
Every year, from the beginning to the middle of November, the native Koroneiki olives, one of the most popular in Greece, are harvested by hand with meticulous care. Within six hours of harvesting, the olives are transported to a modern, certified olive mill and processed under the strictest hygienic conditions. They are cold-extracted at a temperature-controlled 25 degrees Celsius with reduced oxygen levels, immediately filtered, and bottled in dark glass (to preserve their stability and quality).
Every year, from the beginning to the middle of November, the native Koroneiki olives, one of the most popular in Greece, are harvested by hand. The unique character of this oil, its unusually fruity flavor, and its natural aromas, which harmonize beautifully with bitter and spicy nuances, make this olive oil one of the best in the world. A very high proportion of polyphenols, natural antioxidants, vitamin E, excellent organoleptic characteristics, and a very low acidity level form the basis for the production of a premium-class olive oil from certified organic farming.
