At MATR Foods, we use traditional mushroom fermentation on a mix of Nordic organic vegetables, legumes and grains to create a new healthy plant ingredient rich in deep umami flavor and a juicy, firm bite.

MATR was started in Copenhagen, Denmark by a group of people in 2021 who wanted to produce healthy and sustainable food. We saw a need for a change, not only in the selection of available plant-based foods, but also in the way we utilise our produce.
