Nordqvist Tea is a Finnish, family-owned tea house with over 45 years of experience in crafting high-quality tea. Founded in 1979 as a specialty tea shop in Helsinki, Nordqvist was among the pioneers of flavoured teas and loose-leaf tea culture in Finland. What began as a retail concept quickly grew into tea import and wholesale operations as demand spread across the country.

Today, Nordqvist’s tea factory and headquarters are located in Ilvesvuori, Nurmijärvi, where the company handles tea importing, blending, and processing. The business employs around 25 tea professionals and exports its products beyond Finland to the Baltic countries and Japan.

Nordqvist’s expertise lies in creating distinctive tea blends that add value beyond the raw ingredients. High-quality teas are carefully combined with berries, fruit pieces, flowers, and aromas to create balanced and enjoyable flavour experiences. Both classic and innovative recipes are developed by listening closely to consumer preferences while respecting the company’s most loved blends.

Quality, product safety, and responsibility have been guiding principles since the company’s founding. Nordqvist holds both Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certifications and is committed to sustainable sourcing practices.

In addition, Nordqvist is the official manufacturer of Moomin Tea, combining Nordic tea craftsmanship with one of Finland’s most beloved brands.
