When Foodexpo opens its doors at MCH Messecenter Herning MCH Messecenter Herning, visitors to “Kødvejen” (The Meat Avenue) can look forward to an extraordinary tasting experience at Nørre Søby Slagteren’s stand.
We are a family-owned butcher company from Funen with roots dating back to 1970, where fine craftsmanship, integrity, and respect for raw ingredients have always been our foundation. Today, we supply meat and specialties to restaurants, hotels, and professional kitchens across Denmark - and at Foodexpo, we will demonstrate why our products make a real difference in the professional kitchen.
At our stand, you can taste our handmade sausages - produced without allergens and with a focus on pure ingredients and honest flavor. You can experience bacon made the traditional way, gently dried and smoked over beechwood chips in our own smoking ovens.
We will also present our cold cuts, which are slow-cooked and interval-smoked for maximum juiciness and depth of flavor, as well as our charcuterie, fermented and air-dried with respect for classic traditions and modern standards of quality and consistency.
In addition, we are introducing our new concept, Nørre Søby Engkvæg - a unique concept in which selected Danish heifers are handpicked according to strict criteria for age, weight, and fat coverage. The result is a consistent, juicy, and flavorful quality, created for professional kitchens that refuse to compromise.
On Tuesday, we will also host a special pop-up event at the stand, where Michael Steffensen from Kæragergaard Grisen will talk about his three-heart animal welfare pigs and the collaboration with Nørre Søby Slagteren. You will gain insight into animal welfare, farming practices, and the close relationship between farmer and butcher - and how it can be tasted on the plate.
