Kjærstrup Chokolade
It has become Kjærstrup's vision to utilize the entire cocoa fruit. Therefore, in June 2022, Kjærstrup launched as the first Danish - and one of the first European manufacturers of confectionery - a range of products made from the pulp of the cocoa fruit. Cocoa fruit has exotic notes of pineapple, citrus and passion fruit, which make it suitable for cocktails, ice cream and smoothies, among other things. Kjærstrup has launched three ready-to-drink cocoa fruit products: Pure Nectar, Ginger Nectar and Sea Buckthorn Nectar. In addition, cocoa fruit cider, wine gum and syrup are also made. The new products are the start of a journey towards less food waste and greater sustainability.
Kjæstrup was started in 1999 by Birgitte Kjær and Peter Bræstrup in Snogebæk on Bornholm. Now the company has grown into a family of passionate franchise partners around the country, who do what they can every day to give customers the best experience and spread knowledge of the cocoa fruit.
