Trnjak from Vinogradi Nuić is a powerful and elegant red wine made from the rare local grape variety Trnjak, a true gem of Herzegovina. This vintage expresses the region’s terroir with great authenticity and finesse.
The wine shows a deep ruby-red color and an intense aroma of black cherries, plums, spices, and a hint of dark chocolate and vanilla from barrel aging. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured with ripe tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, silky finish. After the completion of alcoholic fermentation, the wine is transferred to barrique barrels for maturation. After 13 months, it was bottled with minimal filtration and further aged for 3 months in the bottle.
