Bermet White is an aromatized dessert wine from the historic Fruška Gora region in northern Serbia. While the red Bermet dates back to the Habsburg court, the white version is a more recent creation — introduced only about 30 years ago in response to consumers seeking a lighter yet still characterful alternative.
Verus-Kiš produces this white Bermet using the same secret method as the red: a carefully selected white wine is infused with a special maceration of spices and herbs — a closely guarded family recipe.
The result is an elegant, golden-yellow wine with intense notes of clove, cinnamon, bitter orange peel, and wormwood. The palate is full-bodied, fruity, and harmonious, with a long, aromatic finish that perfectly balances sweetness and spice.
