Distinto – Autentisk vin siden 2002

Distinto was founded by Jonas Fogh and Christian Madsen.

We launched in 2002 with a burning love for Italian culture and lifestyle, and in particular a deep passion for Italian wines and gastronomy. Since then, we have evolved from a 100% Italian focus to a more diverse repertoire. We love all great wine and find it hard to limit ourselves, but Italy remains our specialty, and we take pride in being among the very best in our field.

We are not just a wine supplier: we are sparring partners for our customers, communicators of knowledge and experiences, and we see it as our foremost mission to bring you closer to truly great wine experiences. Whether you purchase wine from us, participate in one of our tastings, join one of our group trips, or meet us in entirely different wine contexts.

Our administration and warehouse are located in Herlev, just outside Copenhagen. We deliver to customers throughout Denmark.

What do we mean by authentic wine?
By authentic wine, we mean wine that represents the concepts of typicity and terroir, and just as importantly, wine that is produced with the utmost respect for nature and people. In other words, the wine must be true to the grapes it is made from, the soil it comes from, and in harmony with what can reasonably be expected from its area of production. A Barolo should taste like Barolo, a Chianti like Chianti. Wine should not only taste good (of course it should!), it should also convey that special “sense of place” — not taste like “anything from anywhere.”

We focus on organic, biodynamic, and natural wines. Some are certified, others are not. Certification in itself is not decisive for us; what truly matters is how the wine is actually produced.
