Founded by Chr. Hansen in Kerteminde in 1916 under the trademark "555," Amanda has been creating new favorites ever since—based on historical recipes and experience—with the distinct flavor that makes Amanda the "family's fish delicacy."

Focus on Flavor and Quality
We have always had, and still maintain, a constant focus on taste and quality—and over the last approximately 15 years, also on sustainability. Simultaneously, we are pioneers in product development, constantly creating new fish delicacies that make it both easy and delicious to enjoy the fish that our domestic waters are full of.

In January 2017, Amanda Seafoods became part of the Nordic seafood group, Insula. With 17 fish processing companies across the Nordic countries, the group encompasses the pinnacle of seafood and has everything consolidated in one value chain.

Development for the Future
Being part of Insula provides Amanda with an even greater opportunity to develop exciting, delicious, and flavorful fish products. It also offers a strong and unique opportunity to become Denmark's one-stop-seafood supplier.

In 2018 and 2019, Amanda acquired the brands Glyngøre, Dronningen, and Bornholms, expanding and completing our product range. This has increased our ability to track market trends and meet consumers' needs for inspiring and tasty products.

Amanda continues to work with great motivation, curiosity, and fishery pride to develop and expand the finest seafood range for both retail and foodservice.
