Experience bread and cakes in a special class when some of the country's most talented bakers and confectioners compete for prestigious titles at Foodexpo.

Come along when you have to compete in crispy croissants, delicious baguettes and elaborate cakes. The Association of Bager og Konditormestre i Danmark (BKD) in collaboration with the Fødevareforbundet NNF finds Denmark's Best Baker and Denmark's Best Pastry Chef when professionally trained participants compete at a high level.

On Foodexpo's opening day, Sunday 17 March, five confectioners conjure up impressive tiered and fromage cakes and two types of filled chocolates when they compete for the title of Denmark's Best Confectioner.

Baguettes, New York rolls and pastry are just some examples of what is on the menu when 5 bakers go into the kitchens and compete for the title of Denmark's Best Baker.

Denmark's best truffle cake professional competition

Denmark's Best Truffle Cake

Come along to perhaps Foodexpo's sweetest competition, taste your way through the many varieties and help decide who will run away with the victory as Denmark's Best Truffle Cake.

Again this year, bakeries from all over the country are once again vying to win the coveted title "Denmark's Best Truffle Cake".

An expert jury consisting of professional professionals will select the 10 truffle cakes suggestions from all the submitted truffle cakes, which will go on to the final, where the visitors can taste and vote for their favourite.

Tuesday 19 March in Hall F
At 10.00 - 13.30: Competition and taste assessment (professional jury)
At 13.30 - 14.30: Tastings and voting (visitors)
At 15.00 - 15.15: Award ceremony (Torvescenen in Hall F)
At 3.15pm: Distribution of anniversary Truffle Cakes (Butikstorvet in Hall F)
