Do you also think that animal welfare, responsibility and closeness leave an extra good taste in your mouth? Now all pork from Dagrofa Foodservice's brand Grambogård has been given two hearts for even better animal welfare. See here what it means in short.

At Grambogård, animal welfare is a matter of the heart. And it has been since the establishment in 1999. We are pleased that the Danish Food Agency has now awarded pigs from Grambogård two green hearts for "even better animal welfare". But how much more animal welfare do you actually get for the money - and do your guests and customers appreciate the fact that you choose pigs from Grambogård? The short answer is of course YES, and that is why we say "happy animals taste good". It's about well-being and respect for the animals, so that the good dining experience is noticed by your guests.

In Tommerup on Funen, Grambogård's pigs are looked after and cared for by the farmer and his team, who are specially selected because they put their heart into everything they do.

Here, Grambogård's pigs roam freely in bright and open pastures with ample opportunity to get plenty of fresh air around them. Now the happy pigs have also received two hearts in the animal welfare label. This means that approx. 50 cuts in the range are quality stamped with two hearts for even better animal welfare.

8 out of 10 guests care about animal welfare
More and more people are demanding meat that has the animal welfare label. Consumers care about knowing where the food comes from and appreciate when words of quality are attached and when more is said about what is being served. It is a natural part of the good dining experience. In fact, we see that an increasing number of kitchens include meat from Grambogård directly on menus, in blackboard dishes and on weekly meal plans. We are extremely proud of that, and we believe that going forward it will help to raise awareness of quality above all else in the food market. A more recent consumer survey from 2021, carried out by the Danish Food Agency in collaboration with YouGov, states that 8 out of 10 care about animal welfare. It's a trend worth noting. In the language of chefs, this is exactly why animal welfare-labelled meat provides great value for your guests and customers! With 2 hearts for even better animal welfare.
