New organic flour range strengthens Dagrofa Foodservice's position as a supplier of Danish goods

The organic total supplier Grøn Fokus, which is a specialist company at Dagrofa Foodservice, launched a new organic flour range in 2023, which, among other things, contains wheat flour, rye sourdough and whole grain spelled bread.

A particularly characteristic feature of the flour series is that it is 100% Danishly developed and produced. The grain comes from Danish growers near the mill at Aurion in Hjørring. The packaging is designed by a Danish freelance designer, and the actual packaging production takes place at the company Dan-Bag in Skive.

According to Stefan Skov-Jespersen, CEO of Grøn Fokus, the flour series is part of a strategic investment to gain an even stronger position as a supplier of Danish, organic goods to both the retail sector and the food service market:

We would like to speed up the development, where more local ingredients are used in the country's kitchens. In the past, together with Kragerup Gods, we have put the first Danish chickpeas on the market, but we would like to have an even wider range with a focus on the near and local. Therefore, we are now ready with a complete Danish flour series, and we are already looking into what the next step should be in relation to launching more Danish product innovations.

Through Dagrofa Foodservice, it is possible to buy the product variants that are tailored for the country's professional kitchens.

The development phase has had taste and nutrition as focal points
The woman behind the flour series is Rikke Gryberg from Grøn Fokus, who has a background as both baker and pastry chef.
We have really focused on using old cereals, where the nutritional content is high and the taste experience at its best. The flour range is organic and biodynamic, and we have therefore gone far beyond anything called e-numbers, additives, ascorbic acid , pesticides and straw shorteners. As I say, it is important to have 'clean flour in the bag'.

Rikke Gryberg, Green Focus, concludes:

In the development phase, I have started from good old Danish sourdough recipes, which have then been given a modern twist. Therefore, it has also been very natural to exclusively use Danish partners such as Aurion . This has meant that we are launching a successful concept that has a lot of good stories in its baggage.
