Danish, organic legumes

Dagrofa Foodservice and Grøn Fokus have teamed up with several farmers to put even more Danish pulses on the menus, and meet the great demand for alternative protein sources for meat. Our aim is to follow the Danish Food Agency's official dietary advice to eat more legumes and less meat, which contributes to the mission of achieving the green agenda for a more climate-neutral Denmark.

Danish pulses are chosen here, and buying Danish pulses instead of protein sources from warmer climates also minimizes transport and at the same time supports Danish farmers.

Legumes are a good source of protein and dietary fiber and are naturally gluten-free. The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration recommends that we increase our pulses: as part of a healthy and climate-friendly diet, it is recommended that we eat approx. 100 g (prepared amount) of legumes daily.
