Tuesday, March 29, taste and craftsmanship merge into a higher entity, when 45 Danish pizza bakers compete for three prestigious titles in pizza baking.
At Foodexpo, you can witness a national premiere of the brand new competition Pizza Champion Cup. The competition has been held in Sweden since 2016, and now the turn has finally come to Denmark, where the best pizza bakers are to be found.
There are competitions in three categories with 15 participants in each:
All 45 participants are judged by a professional jury, which evaluates the individual pizzas based on criteria such as taste, appearance, creativity and preperation skills. One winner is found in each category, as well as an overall winner of the entire competition.
The Pizza Champion Cup takes place from 09.00 - 18.00 in Hall F.
Behind the competition is Mike Arvblom, former world champion in pizza baking and founder of the official Swedish pizza baking national team. The purpose of the competition is to put creative pizza talents on the agenda and at the same time create a forum where they can show their skills, exchange knowledge and draw attention to themselves and the industry.
