For the 29th time, the Danish Championship in Chef of the Year will take place at Foodexpo along with Waiter of the Year, which is held for the 14th time.
On Sunday 27 March, 10 professional chefs will be in the kitchen at Foodexpo to compete for one of the most prestigious titles in the gastronomic world: Chef of the Year. Here they get the company of 5 leading waiter talents, who will compete in another honorable competition: Waiter of the Year.
The 10 chef finalists have 6 hours and 25 minutes to create a high level three-course meal. The courses are served to a panel of specially invited guests as well as a panel of judges. The judges judge the participants' courses based on a number of different criteria, including presentation and taste, and the winner is the participant who has achieved the most overall points.
In Waiter of the Year, each of the 5 waiter finalists is associated with two randomly selected chefs from the Chef of the Year competition. The performance of the waiters is also judged on a set scale.
Both competitions, including the selection of the winners, will take place on Sunday 27 March in Hall E. It is free to attend the competitions, which are organized by the trade association HORESTA in collaboration with 3F.
