Trees produce oxygen and bind CO2, and therefore deforestation increases the problem of CO2 emissions.
Deforestation is the second largest source of carbon emissions after fossil fuels, where the rate of deforestation is unfortunately still increasing despite huge efforts to stop it. The main reasons for deforestation are deforestation for agriculture, illegal logging and mining.
Success in sustainability can be measured in the number of tonnes of CO2 that is avoided from being released into the atmosphere as a result of forest conservation, and where CO2 instead remains contained in the trees and soil.
Brazil nuts are the only commercial nut found exclusively in the forests of the Amazon. Sustainable harvesting of these nuts not only provides a livelihood for humans, but also protects forests from being cleared for agriculture.
The Brazil nut tree (Bertholletia excelsa) is found in the forests of Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil. It is one of the Amazon's longest-living trees, often reaching an age of 1,000 years, and has a very complex and specialized biology. Its flowers depend on orchid bees for pollination.
It is not possible to domesticate Brazil nuts.

At Westjysk Smag, we want to return to the natural flavors in our fermented vinegars. We brew with a vinegar mother and thus keep the focus on the authentic taste. The vinegars ferment for a minimum of 2.5 years.

Our love of nature means that we recycle all leftovers from the raw materials and use it as fertilizer for trees and shrubs. We greatly appreciate biodiversity around the farm, which is why we have areas in our apple grove where we leave the grass. The slogan ‘Ting Tar´ Tid’ 'Things Takes Time' says it all about our products. The longer the fermentation time - the better the taste.

Ørbækker Pilsner is a green, small beauty from Ørbæk Brewery. Not only is the bottle and label green, also the content is very green and sustainable. The glass bottle is made of over 80% recycled glass and the cardboard is also made of recycled materials. All the malt used in Ørbækker Pilsner comes from a local, organic farmer on the island of Funen. When the beer is brewed, the excess CO2 is collected and recycled and used as bubbles in the brewery's Naturfrisk fizzy drinks. The other remains from the brewing collected by the farmer and used for animal feed and production of biogas.

Ørbækker Pilsner is a fresh, accessible, straw-yellow pilsner brewed according to the Czech style with a slight bitterness and a fruity and grainy aroma. Suitable for any occasion and is especially perfect for a hot summer day, for light dishes or Danish “Smørrebrød”. Cheers !

Organic green american pancakes made with spinache and broccoli.

The pancakes are naturally glutenfree and dairyfree and without e-numbers.

To prevent foodwaste the pancakes are if possible also made with bananas which are not sold in the supermarkets before it gets brown.
