On the small Island of Funen, in the heart of Denmark, the story of Naturfrisk begins in 1997, when Niels Rømer and his son Nicolai bought the abandoned ‘Ørbæk Bryggeri’, a brewery established in 1906. In the brewery Niels and Nicolai started the world’s first commercial production of organic carbonated soft drinks. Later, other kinds of soft drink were introduced, and in 2001 the brewery again began making beer.

Since 2009 single malt whisky and other spirits has been part of the portfolio, and in 2017 the beautiful Nyborg Destilleri was established in old historical buildings in Nyborg, not far from the brewery in Ørbæk.

Today the company offers a wide range of organic soft drinks, beer and spirits sold in Denmark and in export markets around the world. Everything produced in harmony with nature and the environment and made to indulge people.
