KaffeMekka

KaffeMekka is based on the love of good coffee. We took the first small steps in a garage in Højbjerg in 2005, to the premises we now live in in Hasselager south of Aarhus, where we moved into the autumn of 2008.

Here we have the space to both have a large showroom and receive customers, but we also have a warehouse, our own workshop and not least our pride - a Loring Smart Roast coffee roaster, perhaps the most environmentally friendly coffee roaster on the market at the moment.

Here at KaffeMekka, it is the good coffee that is in the forefront. That is why we are of course also a member of SCA (Specialty Coffee Associaton), whose goal is to spread the knowledge of the good coffee. Our two top roasters are also SCAE Roasting Level 1 certified. An education that requires both theoretical insight and practical skills in the art of coffee roasting.

We have our own coffee farm in Tanzania, it is Rainforrest Alliance Certified, and we also take social responsibility, we run a kindergarten on the farm so the children are looked after while the adults are at work. We also support a school near the farm to ensure the education of our employees' children. The coffee is categorized as specialty coffee and typically scores 86-88 in cupping.
